2019 Golf R Interior
2019 Golf R Interior welcome to vwsuvmodels.com now you can find expert reviews for the latest models Volkswagen SUVs from U.S. in our site. The next generation Volkswagen Golf was caught in front of the camera for the first time, revealing that Volkswagen is currently testing the eighth generation of the version of its venerable family slanting stern on the Nürburgring. The spy shots themselves tell us little about the design of the next car though.
This development mule wears current golf body stretched over the foundations of the next car, so we have to wait a little longer to get a sneak peek of how it will look. The bodywork itself is however stretched, revealing that when the Mk8 Gulf comes next year, it will be slightly longer and wider, as indicated by the swollen wheelarches and the extended front bumper.
Presented the efforts Volkswagen has gone to keep the next Gulf a surprise, the interior of this mule was lifted from the current car also. The only new point that is spotted inside is the gear selector.
Volkswagen has already officially confirmed its production plan. The first cars will be launched in June 2019 at Wolfsburg’s flagship plant. The summit of Golf 8 suppliers, which took place at the beginning of the year, presented 120 key suppliers of the eighth generation model. According to Ralf Brandstätter VW, member of the VW Supply Group’s Management Board, the introduction of golf 8 next year is equivalent to the introduction of I.D. electric vehicles to the market in terms of importance.
Karlheinz Hell, the head of the small Volkswagen car, said: “The next golf will lead the Volkswagen into the age of fully connected vehicles with extensive autonomous driving functions. There will be more software on board than ever before. It will always be available online and its digital cockpit and assistive systems will be a reference point in terms of connectivity and security. “Interior
As we expect from the whole family of golfers, the top-spec R has a beautiful yet functional interior with a perfect fit and finish, attractive materials and tastefully sophisticated accents. Unlike the economical Ford Focus RS plastics and the free Honda Civic Type R red accents, the VW cab is a classic place that every driver and driver will appreciate. With the addition of a standard 8.0″ central stack screen, the Golf R has a digital Volk’s cockpit. An adjustable set of instruments replaces the old analogue displays and the driver’s display with an excellent screen, which makes the interior look even more modern.
The interior of the golf R is not class-leading, with the lowest front seat legroom and a backseat that can sometimes feel comfortable. Nevertheless, the golf-box-shaped proportions can comfortably accommodate four adults.
The VW closed cab has a clean design made of high-quality materials, emphasized by robust ergonomics and blue contrasting seams and accents in the manometer. As a driver’s cab, the CAB has a dashboard slightly towards the remote, a gear lever is suitable for driving, and the flat bottom steering wheel feels nicely shaped in the hands. The front support vanes are extremely comfortable and are heated at the factory. Although dual-zone air conditioning and a 12-zone adjustable driver’s seat are standard features, the Golf R does not skimp on prime options such as ventilated seats, memory settings and microphone accents.
Modern cabins provide excellent isolation from ambient noise, but none of them is able to completely eliminate the sharp sound of wind and drone from the noise emitted by tyres when driving on the motorway. To measure the internal sound pressure level, we use the Brüel & Kjær sound meter type 2250-l, which is located in the middle of the first row of rows at the height of the driver’s ear. Automatically averages 15 seconds of as-weighted decibel (DBA) sound at a speed of 70 miles per hour while driving (weighing is an industry standard that fits decibel readings to better reflect how the human ear listens to different frequencies).
We take two measurements and average the results. We also correct the speed sensor inaccuracies with our GPS-based data loggers. It is worth noting that decibels are a logarithmic unit, so a rating of 40 decibels is not twice as high as the sound pressure of 20 decibels; It’s ten times higher than the sound pressure. An increase of six decibels doubles the sound pressure.

The report also concluded that a new autonomy at golf level 3 could be achieved in the blink of an eyeds of up to 37 miles per hour – a feat performed only for the first time on a production vehicle in the Audi A8 revealed earlier this week.
For reasons that do not really need to be mentioned again, do not expect a great focus on diesel performance. Instead, Volkswagen unveils its eggs in electrification, supposedly implementing the 48-volt mild hybrid system already seen on the Audi RS5 and mentioned A8 (as confirmed by previous reports).
Now it’s funny. Autopicture announces that the Mk8 GTI 250-PS will boast (an increase from 220-PS), while the next R golf will produce 350 hp (a significant increase from the current 292-PS), corresponding to the performance of their Ford Focus rivals.
