And unlike the original VW Type 2 bus (but very much like the original VW Beetle), the new VW ID 2024. Buzz will have a front trunk or trunk.

2024 VW ID Buzz Spy Shot
The electric successor to Volkswagen’s iconic Microbus, previewed by the 2017 ID Buzz concept vehicle, has been tested as a prototype (the previous image shows a test mule).
The prototype is barely camouflaged, but some of the finer details like the headlights are obscured by stickers and there are also faux elements stuck to the front to hide the original face design of the vehicle.
Some of our spy photos also show a VW Transporter/Multivan from the T6 generation. You can see that the ID Buzz is wider and lower than the T6 van.
It’s hard to compare phases, but we know ID Buzz will have two-tone options, with the US having to accept the longer version available.
We also know that passenger and commercial versions are planned, the latter of which was anticipated by the 2018 ID Buzz Cargo concept. However, the United States should only receive the passenger version.
The final design is expected to resemble the design shown on the standalone Buzz ID sketch (pictured below) which is slated to enter commercial taxi service in 2025.
The service will be operated by the mobility division of The Volkswagen Moia Group using an autonomous driving system developed by Argo AI, of which the VW Group is the majority shareholder.
The ID Buzz, possibly referred to as ID.7 or ID.8 in production fashion, will go on sale in Europe in 2022. It won’t reach the United States until 2023, which means it will likely arrive. 2024. That’s it, a year later than promised.

2024 VW ID Buzz Exterior
While VW engineers have used clever camouflage to disguise the prototype currently in testing, that hasn’t stopped this writer from outlining the final look.
For example, the front end is easily decoded with the curvaceous styles that draw on the original Kombi, such as the character lines separating the lower and upper two-tone paint schemes.
The daylight area (DLO) has lost a bit of its conceptual uniqueness, instead of adopting the more traditional look that the new T7 Multivan has.
Unfortunately, elements such as door handles and mirrors have not been cut, although it retains the concept of LED headlights, rear pillar details, and smooth sheet metal surfaces.

2024 VW ID Buzz Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

2024 VW ID Buzz Engine, Transmission and Performance
The Microbus will use Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform that currently underpins the company’s products such as the Audi Etron crossover and the VW ID 4 crossover.
While Europe will get a commercial and passenger version of ID.Buzz, America will only accept passengers with a long wheelbase.
The base model should be equipped with propulsion and power of about 200 horsepower; four-wheel drive and up to 300 horsepower are provided for high-end configurations.

Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions will be available; the former has a single-engine configuration of 150 kW (201 hp), while the allowed variant produces 275 kW (365 hp) through its two engines.

2024 VW ID Buzz Price
KBB estimates that the Volkswagen ID.Buzz Microbus will cost around $45,000 when it goes on sale in the United States in 2023 as the model year 2024.
