The standard engine is available with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the GLI can be equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The redesign could result in the arrival of the Jetta with more advanced safety features. This model is equipped with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic warning. Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance and automatic high beam assist.
